A new study shows that the effects of prescription drugs can be deadly when used as part of an overdose of anti-impotence drugs, including Viagra.
A study of men prescribed anti-impotence drugs such as Viagra, Levitra, Cialis, and Stendra, found that patients taking such drugs had a higher risk of death compared to those who didn't take the drugs.
The study, called "The Death of the Man Who Had Viagra: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Interventions in Men," examined the impact of the four main drugs known as PDE5 inhibitors, including sildenafil, tadalafil, and vardenafil, on men who were prescribed them, but did not have any significant effect on their deaths.
Researchers looked at the drug trials of eight medications with similar safety profiles, including: Viagra, Cialis, Levitra, Levitra Super, Stendra, and Stendra Super. Each of the drugs had a significantly higher risk of death compared to the placebo.
The results suggest that the drugs may have the same effect on men taking the most potent anti-impotence drugs, such as Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra Super, but are less effective in treating impotence.
"This may have a greater effect on the health of men in the future," said, an assistant professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. "If you're taking these drugs and you're getting high blood pressure, it can be very dangerous."
The research also suggests that the drug effects of sildenafil, tadalafil, and vardenafil can be much more pronounced in patients taking drugs like Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra Super.
The medications are not the only possible drug interactions that may lead to death in the first place. For example, it is possible that sildenafil and tadalafil may not be the best options for treating erectile dysfunction, and therefore, it is likely that the drugs will not work in treating impotence.
The research was funded by the National Institutes of Health.

Viagra is the drug of choice for treating impotence, but it may also be used to treat other sexual disorders like polycystic ovary syndrome. The drugs also are used for erectile dysfunction.
The study looked at Viagra and Cialis, two PDE5 inhibitors, and found that patients taking them were twice as likely to die of cardiovascular death from cardiovascular disease than patients taking the drugs alone.
The drugs were also more effective than the placebo, even though they also increased the risk of dying from a heart attack, strokes, or an arrhythmia.

A federal judge has ordered a federal court to throw out a patent infringement suit brought against Pfizer Inc. for patent infringement and related damages that allegedly cover an alleged “improper use” of a drug that allegedly is used to treat erectile dysfunction. The suit, filed in the U. S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, names Barr Pharmaceuticals, which is based in the Western District of Pennsylvania, as defendant. The suit alleges that Barr’s patent claims for Viagra (the active ingredient in the popular erectile dysfunction drug Cialis) are “improper and unfair” because the patent’s use of the drug does not meet the requirements of thePatented Medicines and Related Nofiling(PMR) Act. It also seeks damages for the injuries caused by the alleged conduct. The suit seeks$2.1 millionin damages for the injuries suffered by Barr.
The court’s order resolves a number of questions regarding the validity of the patent. The court finds that Pfizer’s allegations are “undescribed, but clearly supported by substantial, documentary evidence.” Moreover, the court finds that the proposed remedies available under the proposed PMR Act would be sufficient.
In addition to its ruling, a number of other factors have been taken into consideration by the court:
In the PMR Act, the court seeks damages for an alleged breach of the patent, but only if Pfizer is found to have infringed the patent. The court finds that Pfizer is entitled to damages if it is found to have infringed the patent. In the PMR Act, the court seeks damages if Pfizer is found to have infringed the patent.

The patent on Viagra was extended to include sildenafil (the active ingredient in the erectile dysfunction medication Viagra), which was later granted to Cialis.

Pfizer’s patent is limited in scope to claims in the United States and Puerto Rico (formerly,, and ) and is subject to a number of exceptions. Pfizer’s patent is subject to several exceptions:
In addition to these exceptions, Pfizer also seeks to have damages granted to Barr if it is found to have infringed the patent.
